Makali, located northeast of Bo, was the home of the Peace Corps training center until the war and served as a base for countless Peace Corps volunteers. Schools for Salone, working with the University Rotary Club of Seattle, completed this school, with 4 classrooms, furniture and a 2 door pit latrine, in less than 2 months. Makali town is dedicated and hardworking. The Foundation for West Africa is locating a public radio station there.
